I believe I will have to rate this as one of the very unpleasant experiences of my life. NOT painful, just a tad uncomfortable. I go to my surgeon next week to have my consult and get the results. From there I will know if I am a candidate for Nissen fundo. My surgeon is the only one in the area who does the lap fundo and he is highly respected. I work in a hospital so I have come across several people who have had it lately and also an employee in another dept. who had it done 3 years ago. She said it was the best thing she ever did for herself. I have talked to some nurses who assist in these surgeries he performs and they have nothing but praise for him. So that part is taken care of.
