Maybe I should clarify-I take a number of other medicines for other illnesses and have never had a problem. I can say with 100 percent certainty that the problems I have had with acid lowering medications are from the fact that my stomach acidity is non-existent. I don't have an anxiety disorder. These side effects all disappear when I stop taking the offending substances. I have done research on what a overly high ph in the stomach can do to the body and I firmly believe that is what has happened to me. I was just wondering if others had had similar problems. On the other hand, I do realize that anxiety and gerd is a dual problem for some. Unfortunately, that is not my problem, I wish it were though it would make my life much easier. Thanks to everyone who replied. This board has and continues to be a great source of information for me. If anyone else feels they have had problems due to an overly high stomach ph resulting from acid lowering medicines please let me know.
