Hi, Actually no, I wasn't expecting any reaction. I didn't even know that any of these things could cause problems like this until months after I stopped taking them and went back and checked. To clarify, it is not anxiety that I experience but more like this feeling of apathy and fatigue. The H-2 blockers did cause anxiety but the other medicines (PPI's, magnesium oxide, antacids) all cause the same apathy, fatigue reaction. I talked to my gastroenterologist about it and even talked to a psychiatrist and they both said that it wasn't in my head, that I was experiecing some wierd physiological reaction. I have a number of other secondary health problems that have come about because I can't eat anything so I am very deficent in several vitamins and minerals. I am planning on having either the fundo or the hill repair. I talked to surgeon for the fundo and one for the hill. And they both think that surgery is indicated for my problem. I am just trying to figure out why I have these types of reactions to these medicines. The only conclusion I can come to is that since I am severely anemic anyway taking medicines that make it less possible for me to absorb nutrients from food make the symptoms of my anemia worse. Anyway, sorry for rambling. I take medicine all the time for other problems and never had a problem or experieced side effects until I took these medicines. I appreciate everyone's help.
