Hi Bill,
Like GW said, it's an individual thing. However, if you've been on Protonix for 6 months and it's not working, then it's time to move on. And, Yes Prilosec is "Stronger" than Protonix!! For some reason, you have to go to HIGH doses of Protonix and Aciphex (80mg or higher) to get the same results as 40mg of Prevacid, Nexium or Prilosec. Hope this helps!! Here's to better days! ;-)
