I also went off of my nexium the day before my fundo 2 weeks ago and happily gave the rest if it away and went and threw away all my tums, mylanta, maalox, and havent needed anything since. I agree, you are uncomfortable after surgery and going off the medicine is the last of your worries. Melissa
