"Sudden" onset of symptoms suggests "a change".You seem oftly willing to blame the med without considering other possibilities(bad Gallbladders are EXTREMELY common in GERD).I hope it's as simple as changing meds! Also ,other than personal preference..it certainly counts...I'm not aware of ANY strong(or weak) evidence that shows one drug is really "stronger" than any other(PPI).Most believe Protonix is possibly THE most potent based on scientific evidence that Protonix is ,perhaps,THE ONLY PPI that is NOT inactivated thus making it MORE potent.
