I have had three dilations. Last one in July. Went for a follow up on Friday and he told me I will need one every 6 months to a year because the wrap is too tight. he doesn't recommend any further surgery because it could make things worse. Yes, my stomach makes more noises that I ever thought a stomach could- and I always have a ton of gas- I can eat with my friends and then need to be home in about two hours , becasue of the unsociable aspects of this problem. And the runs? yep, get them too.My fundo was done in May 2001. All I can say is that you are not alone. My doc told me that when I have trouble swallowing the soft stuff to come in for a dilation- Nice life, huh?
