Hello,
I have been diagnosed with GERD since September. I was put on Protonix 40mg once a day and have been taking it since then (9 months). About 2 months ago I started getting one of the uncommon and unkown long-term side effects of Protonix (severe nerve pain (pins and needles in my legs mainly and my arms). I am thinking of going to back to Prevacid since I was taking that for 4 months prior to being put on Protonix. Will Prevacid be able to give me the same relief as Protonix ? I am currently on Protonix 40mg twice a day and was thinking of moving to Prevacid 30mg twice a day to try and get rid of these discomforting nerve pain while at the same time keeping my reflux and sour stomach calm ????
